Move OneDrive to Nextcloud

How it works

Your originals are never touched
CloudRaft is copy-only. It reads the files you pick from OneDrive and writes copies into Nextcloud— it never deletes, moves, renames, or changes anything in your source. We don't store your file contents; they stream between the two clouds through our worker and are never written to our disks.
What to know for this move
- Connect Nextcloud with a one-click login on your own server's screen (or an app password) — never your main password, so you can revoke CloudRaft's access any time.
- Your Nextcloud server has to be reachable on the public internet over HTTPS (e.g. https://cloud.example.com). A home/LAN address like https://192.168.1.50 won't work.
- When you connect OneDrive, Microsoft may show an "unverified publisher" notice — a Microsoft account step, safe to continue.
Questions
Do I have to download my files to move them from OneDrive to Nextcloud?
No. CloudRaft copies directly between OneDrive and Nextcloud on its own servers — nothing is downloaded to your computer and you don't need to keep a device running.
Will CloudRaft delete or change my OneDrive files?
Never. CloudRaft is copy-only: it reads the files you choose and writes copies to Nextcloud. It cannot delete, move, or modify anything in OneDrive — that's enforced in code, not just policy.
What does it cost?
You can copy up to 10 GB free, no card. Beyond that you buy a one-time pass — a fixed amount of data for a one-time price, no subscription.
How long does it take?
As fast as both providers allow — we don't throttle. Small files move quickly; very large files take longer. It runs in the background, so you don't have to watch it.
Did everything copy correctly?
We verify every file landed at the destination before counting it done — by size, and by checksum where the provider supports one. The count you see is the verified count, not just attempted.
Can I move from OneDrive to a self-hosted Nextcloud?
Yes. CloudRaft copies the files you pick from OneDrive straight to your Nextcloud server over a secure connection — nothing is downloaded to your computer, and your OneDrive originals are never deleted or changed.
